Original artwork is a growing component in fandom today. To encourage this budding segment in the Supernatural fandom, there will be an official KazCon artwork contest.
Who May Enter: All artists who are entering the contest must at least be a supporting member of KazCon 2009.
Artwork Format: Entries must be submitted in hardcopy. Artwork will be made available for viewing at the convention. You may mail the hardcopies to the committee or bring them with you when you register. However, if you fail to provide a hardcopy, you will be disqualified from the contest.
Eligibility: All original artwork has to be "new" and cannot be previously posted or available to the fandom. Sorry but slash or wincest pieces are not eligible for the contest.
Entry Procedures: Two artworks may be submitted per artist per category. Entry information, along with electronic and hard copies must be submitted to the committee by June 20, 2009 and must include the following information:

2D - Computer Renderings, Pencil Sketches, Paintings, B&W Ink, etc.
3D - Sculptures, Models, etc.
Voting: Ballots will be available in the registration packets. Fans may list their favorite three artworks. Three points will be awarded for each first place vote, two points for second, and one point for third. In case of a tie for first place in any category, the video receiving the most first place votes will win.
Rights: The KazCon committee reserves the right to publish a KazCon zine before or immediately after the convention that may contain contest entries. If your artwork is used, a trib copy will be made available upon request. All proceeds from the zine would either support the costs of the convention or be donated to charity. If possible, the winning entries (electronic versions or photos) will be housed on the KazCon website. After the convention, all entries may be posted to other websites or submitted to other zines.
